About Dennis Boyle, LCSW, Psychotherapist

I earned my Master’s degree in Social Work from Long Island University – Post Campus, and pursued advanced clinical training at the Metropolitan Center for Training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, where I studied psychodynamic approaches that emphasize understanding the deeper roots of emotional distress. Early in my career, I worked at a mental health clinic in Manhattan, New York, where I gained valuable experience supporting individuals facing a wide range of emotional and life challenges.

Over the past ten years in clinical practice, I have worked with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, self-esteem concerns, and persistent emotional patterns that can interfere with feeling fulfilled or connected. My approach is collaborative and thoughtful, integrating insight-oriented work with practical support when needed. Therapy with me is not about quick temporary fixes, but about developing meaningful self-understanding that leads to lasting emotional change.

In addition to professional training, I bring life experience that allows me to appreciate the complexity of life’s responsibilities, work pressures, identity, and the quiet struggles that often remain unseen by others. Clients frequently tell me they value the empathy, patience, and emotional steadiness I bring to the therapeutic relationship.
